Wake The Neighbors

Wake The Neighbors

Biography

Wake The Neighbors is a folk-rock-pop band formed in Sarasota, FL by Brooke Bonderer, Alan Davis and Josh Audet. The trio met in 2014, when Bonderer moved to Sarasota from St. Louis, MO to pursue her career in music. The two boys, raised in Sarasota, were involved with music at a young age. Bonderer grew up singing with her sisters and believes this is what drove her to follow her dream of becoming a musician. The group works tirelessly to create refreshing original music with a multi-genre sound. The birthplaces of these songs are written at parking garage rooftops looking at a 2:00 AM sky; to the sandy shores of Florida beaches. “We’re a no-shoes kind of group,” says Bonderer, speaking of the band’s youthful, energetic vibe. Their original material encompasses the “here-and-now” aspects of their lives, and they are currently working on a plan to promote and record. The group believes there is a place for “Wake The Neighbors” melodies and envision performing at as many venues as possible. “We have a great deal of material and are waiting for the next crucial step in developing our sound,” states Alan. The band is waiting patiently striving for the correct platform and production team to deliver their material to the greatest of heights. The tracks in the digital packet are recorded in a live setting. “Wake The Neighbors” songs are written and recorded with simply an acoustic guitar lead by Alan, along with box drum, tambourine led by Joshthe pulse, beat of the band and lastly, lead vocals and harmonies by Brooke Bonderer. Brooke explains,“We all share a focused goal to write meaningful music that “wakes” the individual up and encourages them to reflect and stay positive in the climb of chasing something worth fighting for– one’s dreams.” A mindset to never give up is what will carry this youthful group very far.

Shore Dogs

Shore Dogs

Biography

ShoreDogs, a melodic rock band from Sarasota Fl playing all original music, are a group of five friends who share a love of real music made by real people playing real instruments. often described by listeners as a Party, beach rock band, these guys deliver on the promise of a great time.

The band members influences are as disparate as possible yet the blend of these influences has created an amazingly fresh sound. Singer David Mastos along with guitar players Jarrett Higgins and Mike Blunt are lifelong Sarasota residents and have played together in various band incarnations over the last 20 years, (most notably Trippin Chain & Spigot) and have developed an instinctual tightness that even the most casual listener will hear immediately. Drummer Dave-O Arseneault & Bass player Rit Thomas both found their way to Florida from Connecticut and have quickly found a groove amongst themselves that allows the band to breathe and expand with the finest of jam bands.

ShoreDogs are currently playing Showcases in the Sarasota, Bradenton & St Pete area so make sure to mark the date when they are near you & dont forget to wear your flip flops!

Surf Kats

Surf Kats

Biography
The Surf Kats consist of four guys who wanted to do something different. Sick of playing covers of tired old “classic rock” standards you can hear in every bar you go into, the Surf Kats went in another direction—they decided to try something no one else was doing locally and play all instrumental surf music that you would have heard in the movies Beach Blanket Bingo and Ride the Wild Surf, among others. All you’ll hear when you go see the Surf Kats is drums, bass, lots of guitars, and reverb so thick you can cut it with a knife. So if you are into classic rock covers, the Surf Kats won’t be for you. But if you like surfboards, bikinis and hangin’ ten, then you’ll dig this scene, daddy-o.
