Walden is an alumnus of the Palmetto-based Del Couch Music Education Foundation, where he currently records his music.

On the day of “The Hometown Show,” Walden will release his newest single, Breathe, available free on Soundcloud and Spotify. CDs and merchandise will be available for sale at the show, as well.

JUST ANNOUNCED: A portion of the proceeds from “The Hometown Show” will benefit Rock for a Cause, the Sarasota-Manatee battle of the bands live music event on Nov. 12, which donates proceeds to local music education programs. Ticket sales will also benefit The Church at Bradenton.

“This show is all about giving back to the community that has supported me for so many years,” Walden says. “I could not have come this far without the love and help from my Bradenton friends and family.”

The Tattered Saints

About

Regional rock & roll band based out of Tampa Bay with members living in Bradenton, St. Petersburg, and Tampa. We tour regionally in the Eastern U.S.

Band Bio

Three-guitar harmonies, pulsing rhythm section, and a raspy-voiced storyteller combine to deliver a pure and anthemic rock & roll experience. The Tattered Saints, an ensemble of musicians based out of St. Petersburg, Fla., tell stories of the transition from youth to adulthood, putting music to the trials and tribulations and the victories and setbacks. The band’s love for rock & roll is evident in the high-energy and passionate shows they perform, having their fans leave the venue with something to laugh, grin, and relate to on the ride home. It’s a group of five guys playing songs everyone can relate to, heartache and the victorious moments that make life tolerable.

Gary Schutt

Gary Schutt Band

Gary Schutt Band

About

Our genres are: heavy rock, power pop, catchy melodies and hooks, great grooves and killer guitar playing. We are like Van Halen/Foo Fighters/Extreme with elements of Rush and Dream Theater with Joe Satriani on guitar.

Band Bio

Gary Schutt was born and raised in Monticello, NY as a son of a professional Catskills jazz drummer. He started playing along to Bay City Roller’s records on his father’s drum kit before his feet could reach the pedals.Gary has basically been a one man solo artist since he was really young. After acquiring a cheap 4-track recorder and a slew of original tunes, he started recording & producing at age 15. He wrote, arranged and performed all of the parts himself in his parent’s basement. Initially trained as a drummer, Gary quickly picked up guitar, bass and piano, and later on he picked up singing.

Gary graduated from and taught at the prestigious Berklee College Of Music where he continued write, record, produce and perform. After establishing himself at Berklee, Gary participated in countless recitals, concerts and studio sessions. Although known as a confident guitarist on campus, Gary led a handful of recitals on vocals, played drums in a couple of shows, played bass for the popular local band IN THE PINK, and led his own original band PALISADE.

After graduating from Berklee, Gary started producing his own tapes of original music that he sold at numerous record stores around the Boston area.
Gary moved to Los Angeles in August of 1992 to join Jeff Scott Soto’s (former vocalist for Yngwie Malmsteen) new band SLAM. Still continuing to write his own songs and self produce tapes, Gary began selling his tapes through mail order and his original song catalog grew close to 100 songs.

When he moved to Florida after the 1994 Northridge earthquake, Gary joined West Palm Beach cover band SIGNAL ZERO. During this time Gary and Jeff Scott Soto released a CD in Japan and Europe of all Gary Schutt tunes called “Sentimetal”. Every magazine that reviewed the 11 song CD had nothing but praise for the up and coming talent. In 1999, Gary released his second solo CD “Playthings” on the Chicago based Pulse Records label. Gary produced, wrote and performed everything on the entire album.

The band is playing innovative music, incorporating pure American music styles of the twentieth century and blending it David Smash’s native Slavic, Jewish, Lithuanian musical influences. With Allan Cook on saxophone, Sammy Warren on drums and Joe Bruno on upright bass David Smash Band delivers an ultimate musical explosion. David Smash Band style is winning fans nation wide, recently the group performed at one of North Carolina’s most respected live music events at 5000 ft elevation of Blue Ridge Mountains. Band Bio
When I first got here I only knew two people – Steve Arvey and his friend Gary Fuller. Steve gave me few of his guitars to use for a little while and Gary, who is an incredible kazoo player, took me to almost every jam session in the area. Thanks to Gary I had a chance to play and participate in this phenomenon called a jam session. That was where I met my first band in 2012. I didn’t hold back on sharing my story with strangers I just met at these jams, they seemed like nice people. One night after jamming at Ocean Blues Club I got approached by three strange men. They said – “we heard you are looking to form a band. We would like to be your band!”. Bass player Jim Grove, drummer Dale Harris and guitarist David Lowe. That was the first version of David Smash Band in US. One of the nicest and most genuine group of musicians I’ve ever had a chance of working with. After about a year of playing together in various events and functions, Dave and Jim got a little busier with their work and families and Dale decided to retire. We still try to keep in touch.

In 2014 I started playing with bassist Joe Bruno, and I think Joe told me about saxophone player Allan Cook shortly after. I was always astounded at the level of talent that these people have. Before David Smash Band reached solidity of current consistency there have been many other players I am proud to know as musicians, friends and as members of David Smash Band family. Scott Blum, Bob Robins, James Lewis, Alex Hilton are just a few that deserve a mention.

Current band mates are Joe Bruno on bass, Alan Cook on saxophone and Sammy B. Warren the IV on drums.

Matt Brown

Matt Brown

About

I have many influences, but I am a big fan of Chris Robinson, Ray Lamontagne, James Taylor, Matthew Sweet and an obscure group called The Beatles. I enjoy reggae, some country, some jazz and blues, but mostly rock. I don’t worry too much about genres as I find the song comes out as it should in whatever form. However, I have yet to write a polka song.

Band Bio
I played my first paying gig in Bangor, Maine where I was born and raised. I played a Dm chord for what seemed like hours until someone I am forever grateful for shouted the first line…”It’s 3:30 in the morning!” From there I was hooked. I moved to Florida this go around in 1993 and played lead guitar in Skyway Jumpers for many years, and I had a great time. We had one original song I named “3 Birds” so whenever someone inevitably shouted “Free Bird!” we could play our song… it had nothing to do with birds.

In addition to still playing solo and duo (Brown Katz) gigs, I am also currently the lead singer/guitarist for Whiskey Blind, a high energy rock/dance band. I am proud to be a part of this particular local music scene. You will not find a better group of people. The songs I am submitting are my own songs and all instruments are played by me except the drums, which are programmed on Nothing Better, and played electronically by Rodney Johnson on Take A Ride.
