Sarasota Young Professionals Rock for a Cause event Seven Years Past 4

MARK YOUR CALENDARS: Rock for a Cause 2016

WHEN: Saturday, Nov. 12 from 2-9 p.m.

WHERE: Main Street & Orange Avenue in Downtown Sarasota

Live on Main Street, Sarasota!

In 2016, S-One joined forces with the Del Couch Music Education Foundation, and Rock for a Cause funds will be allocated to sending Foundation students to the Berklee College of Music summer camp programs.

In the months leading up to Rock for a Cause, bands of every genre, age, and talent level submitted two of their songs to our website via audio or video file. Voting will be open for approximately two weeks for the public to choose their favorite 6 bands. Those bands will perform in front of a live audience during the day of the event.

While live performances take place, there will be another voting platform opened up to event participants and the public at large to choose their favorite band. The winner will be announced that evening.

Rock for a Cause will showcase vendors from all over Sarasota and Manatee counties, selling goods, food and beverages. This family-friendly event will include a “kids only” area with games and prizes as well.

This is an event for people of all ages and families alike, so please come out to support your local economy, local music scene, and help encourage people to visit and partake in activities in our communities.

See you there!

The Rock for a Cause event is sure to please; with something for everyone in attendance. Mark your calendar for Saturday, Nov. 12 from 2-9 p.m.; $1.00 entry fee at the door.

Media professionals are asked to contact Shellie Terry Benson (shellie.benson@sone.com) to obtain a press pass and gain access to interviews with the bands once they complete their set.
